This week let's take a look at the role of a Content Writer.

  • Writes benefit messages that are customer-focused

If you're expecting your Web site to drive orders for your products and services, you'll want to carefully plan your Web content.

  • Content is King (it rules the page and how the reader reacts to your site)
  • Smart, sales-oriented content will ensure the best results
  • Engage prospects immediately
  • Clearly show them an attractive solution to their needs
  • Don't make it all about you-make it about how you can help them

Write for your customer, tell them how you'll solve their problems.

Example: headlines for courses designed to help college graduates learn how to manage their money.

 Before: We offer great curses on managing money. We've been doing this for years

After: New College Graduates: in just three evenings, learn how to manage your money and build wealth

Can you see the difference? The second example speaks clearly to the reader, they get excited, it makes them feel like it is possible to get their finances under control. They want to take action and sign up for the class. These are the feelings you want to evoke in your readers.

As you begin writing the content for your Web site, please keep this example in mind. It will make the world of difference in how customers react to your business.
